Astros select contract of Pacific Coast League MVP Matt Duffy

A well-deserved call up for Matt Duffy.

The Astros added another bat to the lineup today, selecting the contract Matt Duffy as reported by the Houston Chronicle's Evan Drellich.

Duffy was named the 2015 Pacific League MVP after after leading the PCL in RBIs (102) and runs scored (90). He was batting .295 (141 for 478) at the end of the season. Duffy led the team in doubles with 29, and was second in home runs with 18.

Duffy was selected by the Astros in the 20th round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Tennessee.

The Astros have ye to announce a corresponding move on the 40-man roster, Duffy will need to added to said roster. Duffy will join the Astros in Arlington, as Houston starts a critical 4-game series with the Rangers.
