Preview

The Astros look to end their road woes as they play the second of a three game series tonight in Arlington. Last night's slugfest led to a starting pitching change for this one, as Dan Straily returns to the majors to face the Rangers.

Straily turned in a solid effort in his last major league start on July 8th, allowing two earned runs over six innings against the Cleveland Indians. Since then he's been strong pitching for the Fresno Grizzlies, with a 2.14 ERA in July. Straily has a career 3-1 record against the Rangers.

The Astros face Yovani Gallardo tonight, who has struggled recently. He had an 0-3 record with a 5.46 ERA in July, including a start against the Astros on July 19th where he gave up five earned runs in four innings.

This one has the makings of another slugfest, with the Astros hopefully gaining the upper hand. They enter tonight's contest 13 games over .500 with a three game lead in the AL West.
