The benches cleared last night between the Yankees and Astros. Houston put a 15 spot on the Yankees, which in itself may be blood boiling. Especially with a team that has Brian McCann on the roster. But something Carlos gomez did led to Yankees manager Joe Girardi to say this:
Girardi: "I just told him play the game the right way... Show a little professionalism."

That something was this:
Yup, that was it. Carlos Gomez flipped his bat in frustration after hitting at pop up. The Yankees recorded an out during the play, and yet that wasn't professional enough.
Gomez flied out and didn't like something he heard from Yankees dugout. He kept saying, "Shut up."

Gomez said after the game:
Gomez: "I'm not showing up anybody. I have passion for my work."

The Yankees can keep no-beard policy professionalism, the Astros will party in Club Astro with Dallas Keuchel's beard.
