It is an odd week here at the Blue Star HQ. Usually I have to spend a lot of time weeding out all the great plays to get to a manageable number. This week was the exception. I have six plays from the past week you need to see, from the amazing to the controversial. Either way they are memorable.
Tucker And The Catch That Wasn't - 8/15/2015 (v. DET)
With a man on second Preston Tucker (in real time) looked like he made a diving catch to save a run in a scoreless game. After a challenge it was overturned, and a run was awarded to the Tigers. A.J. Hinch was soon tossed from the game for coming out to argue. Tucker ended up tying the game in the ninth inning, but the Tigers came back to win in extras.

Valbuena Gets The Job Done With Diving Stop - 8/15/2015 (v. DET)
Luis Valbuena has been above average since moving over to first base when Jed Lowrie came back from injury. Here we can see him make a nice diving stab to save extra bases. Third base reflexes work on the other corner too.

Altuve Makes A Diving Stop - 8/15/2015 (v. DET)
We see this so often it is becoming routine. Jose Altuve makes a diving stop and throws Martinez out from his knees to end the inning down by one in the eighth.

Gomez Gets The Statcast Treatment - 8/17/2015 (v.TB)
Carlos Gomez, who has taken some heat for not getting to a few balls this last week, makes a great running grab in left center to keep this game from getting way out of hand. Only one run scored instead of two or three.

Correa Knocks Down Ball And Makes Strong Throw - 8/18/2015 (v. TB)
Here is what you have been waiting for...Carlos Correa. Here he gets the final out of the inning. Playing in a shift he knocks down a hot shot and has the calmness to find the ball, spin and throw the runner out.

Correa Makes Another Diving Stop
This never gets old! Not just this particular one, but every one he does. Correa goes deep to his right, dives, and makes a strong throw to nail the runner. Extra bonus Blue Star to Valbuena for getting in the position to receive the throw and not get blasted by the runner himself.
