The outfield defense leads the way this week

This week's edition of Blue Stars has much less Correa, so you folks voting in the polls will have to make an actual choice! You will notice that the list is very outfield focused. Those guys were getting the job done this week, especially the newest Astros centerfielder.

Carlos Gomez Makes A Basket Catch - 8/6/15

With two on in the fifth inning, Gomez ranges deep into right center and makes a sliding basket catch to save at least one run. With the amount of one run games this week plays like that make a big difference.

Jake Marisnick Dives To Steal A Hit - 8/6/15

Marisnick gets a great jump on this ball and dives to keep the speedy Billy Burns off the bases early in this one.

Colby Rasmus Throws Out Runner At The Plate - 8/7/15

For some strange reason Josh Phegley and his fleet feet decided to test the arm of Rasmus. It ended exactly how you think it would if a catcher named Phegley tried to test the arm of Rasmus.

Carlos Gomez Busts Up The Wall In Center - 8/11/15

Yeah, so he banged up his knee a little bit. Totally worth it to see this play. At least it was for me, maybe not for Gomez. NOPE! Look at that reaction after the catch. It was totally worth it for him too.

Carlos Correa Juggling Catch - 8/12/15

Carlos ranges deep into the outfield to make the play. He sees it ends up being too easy, so he gives it a little bobble to make it more interesting for the mere mortals watching him.

Evan Gattis Takes A Nap After A Long Run - 8/11/15

Caveman really ran a long way to make this effort on a foul ball. You can see the dreams of glory die as the bullpen mound proved to be his undoing in his quest, so he just took a little rest before heading back out to the field. Stay for the slow motion because it is worth the price of admission.
