Carlos Gomez's bat hasn't shows itself yet for the Astros, but his passion and glove sure has -- as he did last night. Matt Duffy got a hold of Scott Kazmir pitch and ripped it to centerfield. Gomez tracked the ball the way and leaped to catch the ball, crashing hard into the wall with the ball in hand.
Gomez exploded with emotion after making the catch, and furiously chucked the ball in. So might have called that arrogance, but Gomez's passion fit right in with 'Club Astros'.

Gomez is out of the line after banging his knee during the catch.
Gomez's right knee. Hinch: "There's a little swelling. It's not considered significant but enough to where we'd like to get him a day off"

Hinch said Gomez banged up his knee crashing into wall yesterday so he's holding him out as precaution. Available to pinch hit.
