After the Astros win over the Arizona Cardinals, they designated Roberto Hernandez for assignment to make room for Jed Lowrie as he comes off the disabled list.
Roberto Hernandez DFAd to make room for Lowrie tomorrow.

The 40-man roster stood at thirty-nine with Lowrie on the 60-Day DL and will stay at that number as the DFA will take Hernandez off the 40-man roster.
Hernandez has pitched in twenty games this season which included eleven starts with a 4.36 ERA. He primarily served as a long relief after being removed from the rotation but that role can be filled by Vincent Velasquez at this point.
Lowrie has participated in five games in Double A Corpus Christi during his rehab stint with a batting line of .214/.267/.286.
Lowrie will be starting tomorrow at third base which is where he's been working in Corpus since the arrival of Carlos Correa has now pushed him off position.
Lowrie to be activated tomorrow and start at 3B. Roberto Hernandez DFA
