Astros Prospect Report: Games of July 28, 2015

Kemmer is solid and starting to get noticed; Fisher and Davis bash away but not enough. Lowrie nearing return.

[AA] CC on mission, edges close one to SA: (W 3-2)

Houser with nice outing to get first win since joining the Hooks.  Kemmer, Gregor, Mayfield and Phillips with good outings.  Reed with the golden sombrero, Hernandez and Moon leaving 7 guys on between the two of them.  Teoscar's hitting streak was snapped, but has 5 homers, 7 RBI, 10 Hits in the last 10 days, while still having a ridiculously low BABIP of .200.  His BABIP this year is at least 100 points lower than his previous lowest season, he really seems due to come back to normal soon.

[A+] Lancanster got the shakes from the Quakes: (L 9-6)

Fisher and Davis homer late in the game to try to get this one close but 4 spot in 7th is too much for Jethawks to overcome.  Bregman is hit less in 6 AB in High A, total bust so far.  Walter the only pitcher to keep it scoreless in 2.2 IP and 5 K's.

[A] Quad Cities wallop Beloit: (W 11-4)

Bandits are now 28 games above .500.  Boyd with first home run of his career!  Freeman with 2 scoreless innings in his relief appearance.  Just good all around game for the offense to put this one to dry.

[SS] Tri-City defeats West Virgnina: (W 5-1)

ValleyCats stop Black Bears nine-game win streak cold.  Armenteros, Nicely, Grotz and Naemark with good outings on the mound.  Especially good to see Nicely dominating, he was a pick I have high hopes for.  Hermelyn seems to be turning it around a bit.
