Remember back in December, when everyone and their momma made fun of the Astros for this tweet:
Note: the date of the Taylor Swift 1989 tour show at #MMP is subject to change if it conflicts with an #Astros postseason home game.
— Houston Astros (@astros) December 11, 2014
Who's laughing now? The Astros and Swift have moved the concert date from October 13 to September 9.
#Astros announce new Houston date for Taylor Swift's The 1989 World Tour will be Wednesday, September 9 at Minute Maid Park.
— Houston Astros (@astros) July 27, 2015
And what are the Astros specific reasons for the move?
"As the Astros proactively prepare for potential postseason play, we are committed to ensuring Taylor Swift fans can experience this concert at Minute Maid Park, with as much notice as possible."
That's right Taylor Swift fans the Astros are in the playoff hunt. Houston currently hold a two game lead over the Twins for the top spot in the American League Wild Card race and are only one game back of the Angels for the lead in the American League West.
