Asher Gets Crushed Again
It's getting ugly for Wojo. He's given up twenty-seven earned runs in his last five games which consisted of twenty-six innings. There's really no way to spin that. A BB/SO ratio of 9/26 isn't awful in that span though so I guess there's a silver lining somewhere. Given that the strikeout rate has been a concern, that at least has shown improvement in that awful stretch. Maybe he's working on something completely different. I don't know, but it's not pretty.

CC Out-Slugged in 6-5 Loss
True game of power. Six home runs were hit between Frisco and CC. All three of Fresno's came off of Adrian Houser which is the same amount he gave up during his entire tenure in Lancaster.
Offensively, it was Jack Mayfield's third HR. John Kemmer's thirteenth this season and helps his ISO up to .225. You'd think that a near .400 OBP would make high up on the list of outfield prospects. The issue is that he's 24 and has a 25% strikeout rate in AA.
Teoscar also hit his eleventh with that being his his third in the last ten games. Good to see some juice from the bat but he's still hitting poorly overall as he still has a .200 average in that span. That doesn't help his .203 season average.

Tandem Staff Leads Lancaster to 6-1 Win
Lancaster had lost five straight games and the combination of Keegan Yuhl and Bryan Radziewski is what they needed. Despite Yuhl's much later draft pedigree, his numbers are much more impressive. His walk rate is almost half of what it was in QC while having just a small drop in strikeout rate. But, Radziewski is having the opposite problem. His strikeout rate has dropped significantly and his walk rate has more than doubled.

Ferrell Continues Odd Season in 5-2 Loss
Juster Ferrell has a shiny ERA at 2.57 but how he's doing it is a puzzle to me. He is showing a very intriguing ability to induce weak contact cause he's allowing a lot of contact. He strikes out only 10% of batters. He walks over 12% which is really odd. To give up that much contact is and have success is really weird. He's the perfect example of how fly balls have much lower BABIP's.

TC Wins 4-2
Scott Weathersby was a 10th round pick and not considered an exciting one. However, he's performed quite well so far. Yesterday was his best outing and comes in his second opportunity to have a larger role. He has been given a shot in the tandem rotation and he's done very well. In those two games he's pitched 7 2/3 innings and has struck out twelve.

Greeneville Wins 8-1
I wrote about recent signee Jose Hernandez from Mexico last Saturday due to his first start going quite well. Well his third appearance went even better. He now has 8 2/3 professional innings and has walked one batter and struck out fourteen. Small sample size is obviously in play here but it's hard not to notice that significant of results. I'd love to know more about this guy.
