Preview
The All-star break could not come sooner for the Astros -- injured at many position, struggling at the plate and the bullpen. One of the highlights of the season, Lance McCullers takes the mound for Houston in their final game of the first half. McCullers, a Tampa native, was pushed back from Friday to start today. He has given up just one earned run his last three starts. That is just three earned runs over 18 innings.
McCullers squares off against Matt Moore. Moore is returning from Tommy John surgery this season. He is making his third start this season, he wasn't able to get out the fifth inning in his previous two starts. Moore pitched seven scoreless in his one career start against the Astros.
