Astros Prospect Report: Games of June 30, 2015

Your daily look at the previous night's Minor League happenings.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

So Snake's comments from last thread got me thinking to add a Prospect to Watch section to each game score.  It is mostly guys that played in the game, but it could be for all prospects on that team.  Let me know what you think about it, like/dislike, people I need to add on the watch list.  Also, it is getting real hard to recap the lower levels, so I am just going to throw on the prospects to watch with no recap.  Thanks, Blake.

AAA Fresno snaps four game slide with 10 run outburst over El Paso: (W 10-5)

Bottom of the order lead the charge today with 7 for 13, 2 BB, 2B and 5 RBI's.  I have to say Fontana, Heinemen and Aplin are some of my favorite players that seem to have stumbled a bit lately but I am still hopeful they will be MLB  contributors someday.  Rodgers was stellar finally giving up the first hit in the fifth and head them scoreless until the 7th.  He has been on a good streak in June to start turning his season around.

Prospects to watch: Kemp, Heineman, Aplin, Rodgers, (the whole team could contribute in some way down the line).

A+ Lancaster falls to Inland Empire late: (L 9-8)

Lancaster rallies back to tie it in the 8th after a 6 run 2nd by IE, only to lose by 1.

Prospects to watch: Ramsay, Fisher, Reed, Davis, Nottingham, (really the whole team).

A Quad Cities loses to Beloit: (L 4-1)

I tried to recap but they had some make-up game and then resumed but it kept showing me a different box score.  It says Ferrell made his debut but it does not show him on the box score.  I am confused, here is the link to the recap if you want to go to crazy town (link).

Tri-City falls in close one to Connecticut: (L 2-1)

Thornton with nice outing as the pitching staff kept this game close.  ValleyCats had a chance to tie it in the 9th but rally falls short as Carpenter gets thrown out trying to score from 2nd.
