2015 MLB Draft: Houston Astros select Nestor Muriel in the 6th round

You know what's a good way to feel old? One to have a guy drafted that was born in 1998 and two to have hime drafted out the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. The same Carlos Beltran that last played for the Astros 11 years ago and now is financially sound enough to start his own baseball academy.

I'm not going to lie to you and say I know anything about him or the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. The academy has him listed as 6'1'' tall, weighing 172 pounds, bats right, and throws right.

But here are two videos showcasing Muriel.

The academy opened in 2011 and has had three graduating classes thus far including 2015. Muriel is the fifth player selected from the academy per Baseball Reference. Muriel passes Luis Lacen as the highest pick in school history after Lacen was selected by the Giants in the 13th round in the 2014.
