On the day the Astros presented their top selection in the 2015 Draft, two former Astros draft picks including a top-pick overall will play for the U.S.A. Team in the Futures Game -- Mark Appel and Tony Kemp.

Appel was the top-overall pick in the 2013 draft out of Stanford. Appel was recently promoted to Triple A after posting a 2-0 record with a 1.54 ERA in four starts in June -- striking out 20 and five walks.
Kemp, a fifth-round pick in the 2013 draft, has been flying up the ranks. Kemp started the season in Double A Corpus Christi, batting .358 (69x193) with 11 extra-base hits, 35 walks, and 15 stolen bases. He too was a called up to Triple A, batting .358 (20x56) with 6 stolen bases in 14 games with the Grizzlies.
