Congratulations to Brett Phillips on his promotion to AA Corpus Christi
Lancaster manager Omar Lopez told OF Brett Phillips after All-Star game he's going to Corpus Christi.

This guy has just been dominating the Cal League. It’s good to see him being pushed along. Brett just turned 21 less than a month ago. For those unfamiliar with Brett, here’s a profile Anthony Boyer did on him back in December.

Jacob Nottingham was 2 for 2 with 2 singles. Ritchie was 0-2 and Tanielu was 0-4.
Fresno beats Sacramento, 6-2
They improve their record to 43-28. Jon Singleton ended his homerun drought and Tony Kemp pushed his hitting streak to 25 games. The pitching staff was stellar with Luis Cruz limiting the damage to just 2 solo homers.

Corpus Christi loses to San Antonio, 5-2
That's 3 losses in a row for the Hooks. I am sure they are anxiously waiting for AJ Reed and Brett Phillips to show up soon. Michael Feliz pitched well and Josh Hader struck out 4, but got knocked around in a short outing. Colin Moran continues to just kind of be Colin Moran. Danry has struggled to adjust to AA pitching.

GCL Astros fall to GCL Tigers again, 4-1.
Their record falls to 0-2. Keep in mind that GCL Tigers are loaded with college kids. Their pitchers aged 21, 21, 23, 21 and 23. The GCL Astros pitchers aged 19, 20, and 19. The GCL Astros are predominately DSL kids who have made the jump. Oh and of course, Kyle Tucker (who acquired his first professional hit today).
