2015 MLB All-Star Game: Jose Altuve remains in second place in All-Star voting for AL second baseman

Seriously?!

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Major League Baseball announced another week of All-Star voting. Jose Altuve remains in second place for the second week in a row.

Last week, Royals second baseman Omar Infante jumped out in front of Altuve. After last week's results, Infante was one of eight Royals would have started for the American League. This week, the total is seven Royals including the Angels Mike Trout and the Tigers Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera leads the Royals Eric Hosmer - 9,342,149 to 8,013,745 votes.

Infante, 33-years-old, is batting .229 (50x218) with 0 home runs, 18 RBIs, three walks, 0 stolen bases, 51 OPS+, 56 wRC+, and -0.3 FanGraphs War. Not exactly All-Star caliber numbers.

Altuve on the other hand, has been fighting issues with his hamstrings. The Astros second baseman has been on and off the shelf for the past few weeks.
