The Astros' ninth-round draft pick Zac Person has signed with Houston, reports Chandler Rome of MLB.com. Houston has not confirmed yet.
Person finished the 2015 season with a 2-0 record with a 4.06 ERA in 31 innings pitcher (31 appearances, 2 starts). He had 36 strikeouts and 12 walks this season.
With Person signed, Houston has signed six of their draft picks in the top ten -- leaving LSU shortstop Alex Bregman, high school outfielder Daz Cameron, Cal State Fullerton pitcher Thomas Eshelman, and TCU pitcher Riley Ferrell.
The LSU Tigers were eliminated from the College World Series by TCU this past thursday. Person's teammate and fellow Astros draft pick Alex Bregman made comments that he is headed to Houston to get his deal done with Astros.
