Preview

Well, there goes the winning streak. Lance McCullers showed electric stuff once again but the Astros bats couldn't keep up with the Mariners.

Now Houston turns to Dallas Keuchel to start a new winning streak. Looking back at the Chris' notes from the series preview:

Saturday, Cy Young leader Dallas Keuchel (8-2, 2.04 ERA, 2.88 FIP, 12.8 K-BB%) will face off against 22-year-old Taijuan Walker (4-6, 5.00 ERA, 4.24 FIP, 12.6 K-BB%). The Astros won't let Walker's season ERA catch them unawares; the former top prospect hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since May 24th, and has only allowed two runs in his past 13 innings pitched. The batters will have to contend with his high-90's fastball, cutter, low-70's curve, and a splitter.

Keuchel hasn't pitched at least six innings or more in all 14 starts this season. Keuchel is 3-3 with a 2.25 ERA in 44 career innings against the Mariners. He is 2-1 with 1.17 ERA in four career appearances in Seattle.
