Fresno Wins 5-4 in 11 Innings
I've been wanting to talk about Tyler Heineman for a few weeks but haven't been able to get to it. I'll touch on it briefly here, but he's quietly been pretty good this year. He's not the Heineman from Lancaster as he still doesn't have the power he flashed out in the desert. But, he's hitting for a higher average this season. He had a low BABIP last season and now it's pretty high. Since his promotion, it's even higher so it will be tough to see where it will settle.

Appel's Struggles Continue in 3-2 Loss
Yes, he only gave up three runs which is a good thing. But he allowed twelve base runners in 5 2/3 innings. He continues to just be too hittable. He leaves a lot of fastballs over the plate. The command is a problem. Appel regularly misses his target.
Conrad Gregor has a great swing. He has great plate discipline. However, the power is non-existant. Except for the last two nights. He's now homered in back to back nights.
- Mark Appel-5 2/3 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 SO, 5/3 GO/AO, 92/60 P/S, 40 Game Score

Lancaster Blanks Stockton
Evan Grills and Bryan Radziewski combined for a five hit shutout. It goes down as arguably Grills best appearance this season and Radziewski's best since being promoted. A.J. Reed continues to crush the ball in High-A. After last night, he now has 12 home runs this season with an average just under .300.

QC Looses 5-3
You can't win them all. QC accrued just one extra base hits despite picking up eight hits. They also drew five walks but couldn't put them together for more than three runs.
