Since I'm writing this for the games that occurred on Memorial Day, let me use some tweets/instagrams from our affiliates

Memphis Cardinals at the Fresno Grizzlies
Alex White was what he is, I'm afraid. 6 innings pitched. 4 earned runs allowed. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 while striking out 1.
Carlos Correa had an 0-4 night. He lined out to the left fielder, grounded out to the left side, and popped up to the first baseman. One of his grounders went for a double play. I am the lucky writer that gets to talk about Correa and doesn't get to gush. However, I will post that Luhnow was in town to watch him and other AAA dudes.

Midland RockHounds (OAK) at the Corpus Christi Hooks
The offense had to overcome a late meltdown from Brian Holmes and Jandel Gustave, but the Hooks managed to get the win. Mike Hauschild started the night and threw 78 pitches (53 strikes) in 5 innings recording 3 Ks and 6 ground outs to 2 air outs. Holmes was unusually wild, walking 4 in 3 innings pitched and allowing 5 hits on top of that.
Everyone but Chan Moon had a hit for the Hooks. Tony Kemp stole base number 11 on the season. Andrew Aplin stole 2 bases and Teoscar Hernandez stole his 8th bag.
Jiovanni Mier was able to play the hero in the bottom of the 10th. He came up with 2 outs and the bases juiced and hit a 2 out single opposite field to get the walkoff win for the 5,197 fans in attendance.
Hooks win 8-7. They continue to slowly creep closer and closer to Quad Cities with a record of 29-14.

Inland Empire 66ers (LAA) at the Lancaster JetHawks
20 MPH wind out to CF for a day game at Lancaster. Joe Musgrove says "no problem." He recorded 9 Ks and 7 groundouts. That's 15 of his 18 outs. Reymin Guduan and Frederick Tiburcio followed Musgrove's lead and combined to pitch 3 innings with 4 Ks. This was just a dominant pitching performance all around.
Brett "Maverick" Phillips led the charge offensively with 4 hits including a 2B and a HR. AJ Reed wasn't far behind Phillips adding 3 hits of his own. Reed's average has crept all the way up to .293. AJ Reed's May has been ridiculous. He's slashed .359/.434/.707 for an OPS of 1.140.
If there are 2 guys that are not only knocking but pounding on the door to AA, it's Musgrove and Phillips. 2 straight months of "mastery" by both of these guys warrants a promotion. The dominoes may be starting to fall with the outright release of Telvin Nash at Corpus.
JetHawks win 10-2. Their record climbs back over .500 to 23-22.

Peoria Chiefs (STL) at the Quad Cities River Bandits
The River Bandits played the Cardinals affiliate in a double header that actually saw the River Bandits lose 2 games in 1 day. Jacob Nottingham had a big first game going 4 for 4 and Derek Fisher had a big second game going 2 for 3 with a walk. Both of these dudes also homered.
QC loses game 1, 8-6. They lose game 2, 6-3. Their record falls to 33-12.
