Jake Marisnick has been one of the biggest surprises of the Astros' 2015 season. Marisnick has been playing stellar centerfield defense and has added an extra demotion to the bottom of the Astros batting order. He is batting .350 (14-46) with four extra-base hits, and Marisnick is batting .333 with runners in scoring position. If anyone has earned everyday playing time it's Marisnick.
So it was surprise when Marisnick wasn't in the lineup for the Astros' first game in Oakland. Marisnick had felt some soreness in his upper right leg as he went from first to third in the final game against the Mariners.
Injury doesn't seem serve enough to keep Marisnick out of the lineup after three days of rest. The Astros have their nine-hole hitter back in the lineup as they look to sweep the Athletics.
