Asher Wojciechowski turned heads this spring with a 1-0 record and a 1.29 ERA in 21 innings pitched. Wojciechowski is nowing heading to Triple A Fresno after making two appearances with the Major League club. The Astros announced they were calling up Brad Peacock to replace Wojciechowski on the roster.

Even with those spring results, only after injures to Brett Oberholtzer and Brad Peacock was Wojciechowski forced into the rotation. Wojciechowski showed his inexperience in his one major league start on April 9 against the Indians. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 2 in four innings (88 pitches).
After Scott Feldman gave up 7 runs through 5 innings on Monday, Wojciechowski was called into service. Wojo rebounded in his second appearance. He pitched four scoreless innings - scattering two hits, walking one, and striking out four.
Brad Peacock, who pitched in the Fresno Grizzlies' Opening Day, will take the ball on Tuesday on normal rest. In his lone start with Triple A Fresno, he held Las Vegas scoreless and hitless through 4.2 innings. Peacock struck out two and walked five on 87 pitches (40 strikes).
Peacock underwent hip surgery this offseason and missed a position of Spring Training. The right-hander made 24 starts (28 appearances) last season for with 4-9 record and a 4.72 ERA.
