George Springer robs potential walk off grand slam

George Springer did George Springer things.

On Sunday, George Springer continued spread his legend across the Major League Baseball landscape.

It was the 10th inning, Tony Sipp was pitching his second inning. Leonys Martin came to bat with a Ranger on every base. Martin turned on 81 MPH slider and sent sailing towards the right field stands at Globe Life Park. George Springer turned and sprinted towards the wall. He leaped with ease at full speed towards the ball in flight. In one motion, Springer snapped his glove over the wall, caught the ball, and bounced off the wall. Springer enthusiastically showed his glove and the ball after bringing back the possible game-winning grand slam.

The bar has now been set for catch of the year for the Astros and Major League baseball for that matter. Springer made that play look too easy, the amount of athleticism and focus to make that catch at full speed is insane.

The best part of the highlight may still be Tony Sipp's reaction to the catch. No one was more excited to see Springer bring that ball back.

Springer's catch keep the game going into further into extra inning. Astros catcher Hank Conger hit a two-run home run in the 14th to put Houston in the lead for good.
