Astrodome 50th anniversary tweets

Thursday marked the 50th anniversary of the Astros opening the Astrodome. The Astros played the Yankees in an exhibition game to open the stadium on April 9, 1965. The Astros won 2-1, but Mickey Mantel hit the first home run in the dome. NGR Park had a birthday party to celebrate the occasion, allowing fans to walk through for the first time in years.
