Hernández continues strong spring in 1-1 tie with the Marlins.

The Astros had five Spring Training games left in Florida coming into Saturday. The fifth spot in the Astros rotation is up in the air at the moment. Roberto Hernández and Asher Wojciechowski would get a chance to make one final impression before the Astros head back to Texas. Today, it was Hernández's turn to toe the rubber.

Hernández allowed one run on three hits through five innings. He walked two and struck out one. The former Indians, Rays, Phillies, and Dodgers pitcher looks to be in line to take the fifth spot with Wojo still having minor league options.

  • Hernández retired ten straight batters to complete his outing.
  • Hank Conger hit is second home run this spring.
  • Carlos Correa was the only Astros hitter with multiple hits in Saturday's game - 3-for-4 with a stolen base.
  • Pat Neshek pitched a clean 1-2-3 sixth inning.

  • Hernández walked two and allowed two singles with two outs in the first inning, allowing the Marlins' lone run in the game.
  • Jon Singleton was 0-for-3 with three strikeouts.
  • Tony Sipp walked two in his inning of work
  • Kevin Chapman allowed leadoff singles in both of his innings work, but worked around each to keep the game tied.
