Round One, Match Seven

Chad Qualls, RHP

The veteran reliever went Qualls to the Wall in 2014, returning to Houston after spending six seasons elsewhere, and doing a fine job as the team's closer after Jesse Crain never saw the mound in an Astros uniform. His power sinker generated grounders 57.2% of the time, and he posted sterling career-bests in walk rate (0.88 BB/9) and strike out to walk ratio (8.6 K/BB). He posted a 1.33 ERA against all teams other than Oakland. Qualls returns on the second year of a two-season pact, and with an inside track on winning the closer's role once again. -- Brian Stevenson

Pat Neshek, RHP

Are you ready for the funk? Despite a truly unorthodox delivery, Neshek was an intregral part of the St. Louis Cardinals bullpen last season, having the best year of his career with a 1.87 ERA, 9.09 K/9 and 1.20 BB/9. This year he is expected to be an achor for the bullpen as a consistent and recently proven effective reliever. -- Subber10
