Reliever Pat Neshek and third baseman Luis Valbuena underwent offseason foot surgeries that Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow described as minor. Neshek suffered a Jones fracture in his right foot during spring training and pitched the season with it. Righthander Scott Feldman, whose 2015 season ended early because of a right shoulder sprain, has been cleared to start his regular offseason workout program after having an MRI exam. Brad Peacock, another righthanded pitcher, threw bullpen sessions early in the offseason as he recovers from back surgery.
