Holmes is off to a really nice start; his 0.82 ERA is third-best among all starting pitchers. Chris Cotton and Albert Minnis both have sub-2.00 ERAs out of the pen as well. And Reed started to hit a little this week; he's at .257/.357/.429 with a long ball and three doubles in 10 games. Derek Fisher has eight walks in eight games, so his OBP is a healthy .375, but he's also fanned 11 times.

South of the Border

The Puerto Rican league got underway this week. Travis Ballew, another potential future bullpen piece, is down there, as well as Stassi, who is trying not to be forgotten. Hoyt continued his solid work in Venezuela, and Tyler White continued to look unstoppable.
