Astros manager A.J. Hinch ‘not a candidate’ for Dodgers job

The possible manager of the year is staying in Houston.

In the Astros' first year under manager A.J. Hinch resulted in the first trip to the playoffs in 10 years. Hinch's profile was quickly raised across the Major League landscape

Of course, when the Dodgers and manager Don Mattingly parted way this offseason -- there were swipers that the sabermetric-friendly hinch would be bought away by Los Angeles. Local media and bloggers jumped on the idea, that presumably $310,207,172 payroll team can buy whatever they want.
