2015 Houston Astros ZiPs Projections

The ZiPS projections for 2015 have been released. How do you feel about the 2015 Houston Astros?

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Dan Szymborski released his 2015 Houston Astros ZiPS projections to Fangraphs this morning.

For the most part, things are looking up for the Houston Astros in 2015. Szymborski notes that while only three Astros hitters are projected to reach the two-win threshold, that is still a 200% improvement over last season. ZiPS also believes that the emergence of Dallas Keuchel & Collin McHugh was legitimate with the pair projected to produce 5.7 WAR for the 2015 season.

Also of note, ZiPS has Tony Kemp and Carlos Correa projected as the most prepared to contribute at the major-league level with Kemp projected at 1.4 WAR and Correa at 1.3 WAR. I don't imagine either would be the major league club this year, but you never know.

Szymborski is scheduled to be a guest on the podcast Sunday, so take some time and look through the article and bring your questions for him Sunday at 8 p.m. CT.
