Preview
The Astros fell short in game one in Arlington, Brett Oberholtzer takes the mound looking to rebound tonight. Obe has been so-so through the later part of the 2014 season - posting a 4.52 ERA since the start of August. But, the Astros' lefty righted the ship in his last start - holding the Indians to two runs over 7.2 innings on September 17.
This will be Oberholtzer's fourth start against the Rangers this season, he has given up 10 runs over 18 1/3 innings. In his one start at Globe Life Park, Obe' held the Rangers to one run over seven innings on April 13.
Adrian Beltre is 6-for-10 with a two doubles against Obe' in his career.
Nick Martinez is a streak of sorts, he has held his opponent to two runs or less in five of his last eight starts. That includes two starts against the Astros, were he gave up just three runs over 10 1/3 innings. He has made four total appearances against the Astros this season, including two appearances out of the pen in April.
Martinez hasn't picked up a win in a start at home yet this season, he is 0-6 with 6.29 ERA in 10 appearances.
Jose Altuve, currently sitting at 221 hits, is 4-for-7 against Martinez with three doubles in his career. Dexter Fowler is 2-for-3 and Matt Dominguez is 4-for-6 against the tonight's Rangers starter.
