Preview

The Indians sit five games back in the Wild Card with 14 games left to play. If Cleveland hopes to return to the playoffs this season, they will once again need to sweep the final few weeks of the baseball and hope for some breaks. Cleveland made the road even harder by losing three game in Detroit over the weekend. Will this series in Houston be the final nail or the ray of hope?

Zach McAllister is making the post start tonight for the Indians, who had a rain-out and doubleheader earlier this week against Minnesota. McAllister was a September call up after making 14 starts for the tribe earlier this season. As a starter, he his 3-6 with a 5.91 ERA - striking out 54 and walking 26. McAllister has made two appearances from the pen this month, allowing four earned runs over 5.1 innings. The righty sports a four-seam fastball with movement, a slider, and changeup.

Chris Carter is 4-for-7 with a triple and home run against McAllister.

Collin McHugh takes the mound against Zach McAllister. Doctor McHugh hopes to finish the season strong after a fast start in September. He has a 1.15 ERA over 15.2 innings this month. McHugh held the Mariners to one runs over eight innings in his outing.

On August 23, McHugh held the innings to two runs over 5.1 innings on 109 pitches. Michael Bourn is 2-for-4 in his career against McHugh, and Lonnie Chisenhall is 2-for-2.
