Preview
With his grand slam last night, Jason Castro put the Astros one game closer to claiming the Silver Boot outright for the first time since 2006. Brett Oberholtzer takes the mound tonight hoping to put the final nail in the coffin.
Oberholtzer comes into today's game with a quality start in nine of his last 11 starts. He has given up just three runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts. He has a record of 2-2 with a 3.23 ERA in those eight starts. Obe' has walked just six batters and struck out 31 in his last 53 innings. In 14 innings against the Rangers this season, Obe' has a 1.39 ERA with one walk and 11 strikeouts.
Orbit's sworn enemy, J.P. Arencibia, has a home run in three at-bats against Obe'. Adrian Beltre, the timeless wonder, is 4-for-7 with a double against the left-hander.
Scott Baker will always have a soft spot in my heart, he won me a fantasy league a few years back in a spot start. Baker has done it all for the Rangers this season as the long man, reliever, and tonight as a starter. Baker made his five start of the season for the Rangers, holding the Royals to one run over five innings on Sunday.
Baker has kept the Astros in check during in his relief role as Ranger. Chris Carter and Jon Singleton are both 1-for-2 with a double.
