AAA Oklahoma City RedHawks: 8-3 win over Memphis (STL)

-> Jon Singleton: 3-for-5, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI
-> Domingo Santana: 1-for-2, 2B, 2 BB, 2 RBI
-> Enrique Hernandez: 1-for-3, BB, 2B, 2 R
-> Gregorio Petit: 1-for-3, BB, R
-> Jonathan Meyer: 1-for-3
-> Erik Castro: 1-for-4, 2B, RBI, R
-> Carlos Perez: 1-for-4, R
-> Andy Simunic: 1-for-4, RBI
-> Robbie Grossman: 0-for-4, BB, SB, R

SP David Martinez: 5.0 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 2 K (win)
RP Rhiner Cruz: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K
RP Kevin Chapman: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K
RP Jason Stoffel: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K

Singleton is just looking more and more ready. You could pick and say he hasn't hit for a lot of average recently (.257 in his last ten games), but that was home run #11 on the season, and he's struck out five times in his last ten games. Just two strikeouts this month. They may want to see him do it for a little longer, but if he keeps this up and the 1B situation in the Majors remains as bleak as it has been so far, I don't know that they'll be able to resist.

And a quick spotlight to Rhiner Cruz; 1.50 ERA, 2.25 BB/9 and 9.75 K/9 for him in 12 innings so far. If his command really has progressed, he could certainly bolster the MLB pen in a big way at some point.

AA Corpus Christi Hooks: 5-3 loss to Frisco (TEX)

-> M.P. Cokinos: 2-for-3, BB, RBI, R
-> Andrew Aplin: 2-for-4, BB, R
-> Nolan Fontana: 2-for-4, BB
-> Chris Epps: 1-for-3, BB, R
-> Rene Garcia: 1-for-3, BB
-> Matthew Duffy: 1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI
-> Jiovanni Mier: 1-for-4
-> Joe Sclafani: 0-for-3, 2 BB

SP Luis Cruz: 4.0 IP, 4 ER, 7 H, 1 BB, 3 K (loss)
RP Jordan Jankowski: 3.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K
RP Andrew Robinson: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K

Aplin had gone hitless in three straight games, but he's collected four in the last two to snap the slide before it turned into a slump. Funny how he's struck out eight times in the last ten games and my first reaction is "what's wrong with him?"

Fontana has two hits in each of his last three games, and 12 in his last ten games. He's still striking out too much, but everything else seems to be coming together nicely (still looking for HR #1, though).

This was actually Cruz's worst start of the year, and even here it's not like he totally melted down. He allowed all four runs in the third inning, but then came back to pitch a scoreless fourth, nice fortitude. ERA blew all the way up to 2.52 after this (so there's your indication of how good he'd been prior).

A+ Lancaster JetHawks: 3-2 win over Lake Elsinore (SDP)

-> Anthony Kemp: 4-for-4, 2B, RBI, 2 R
-> Teoscar Hernandez: 3-for-4, BB, 2B, RBI
-> Danry Vasquez: 1-for-3, BB, R
-> Ruben Sosa: 1-for-3, BB
-> Jordan Scott: 1-for-3
-> Carlos Correa: 1-for-5, SB, RBI
-> Rio Ruiz: 1-for-5

SP Mike Hauschild: 5.0 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 K
RP Daniel Minor: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 2 K (win)
RP Tyson Perez: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 4 K (save)

Hernandez is hitting .421/.511/.684 during his last ten games, with two bombs, four doubles, seven walks and a trio of steals. He's struck out 11 times during that period, which isn't great, but certainly isn't horrible.

Kemp has eight hits in three days, and 17 in his last ten. He's struck out just four times during those ten games, and just 15 times in 34 games overall.

Correa is coming around after the injury. He's been back at shortstop for a few days now, and he has eight hits in his seven games since returning from the DL. He's hitting .302/.364/.443 on the season so far.

A- Quad Cities River Bandits: 6-5 win over Beloit (OAK)

-> Jack Mayfield: 2-for-3, BB, R
-> Brett Phillips: 2-for-4, 2B, 3B, RBI, R
-> Tyler White: 2-for-4, RBI, R
-> Conrad Gregor: 1-for-2, 2B, 2 BB, 2 R
-> Brian Holberton: 1-for-3, 2B, RBI
-> Ronnie Mitchell: 1-for-3, RBI
-> Jobduan Morales: 1-for-4, 2B, RBI, R
-> Chan Moon: 1-for-4, SB, RBI

SP Michael Feliz: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K
RP Patrick Christensen: 2.0 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K
RP Gonzalo Sanudo: 2.2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 K
RP Zach Morton: 1.1 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 K (win)
RP Andrew Walter: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K (save)

This is Feliz's return from a DL stint which kept him out of action since April 26. Clearly they were going easy on him today, but he was solid in two innings. Sanudo's results have been fine, but the last two outings have shown some uncharacteristic control issues (four walks in 5.2 IP). We'll see if he can hammer those out soon.

Nice game for Phillips after going 2-for-14 in his prior four contests. He's hitting .273/.341/.485 in his last ten games, and has only struck out six times during that stretch (one each in his last three, though).
