Rudy Owens is getting the call to start in tonight's game against the Mariners in Seattle after Brad Peacock was scratched for forearm soreness.
Based on what manager Bo Porter is saying, this is a precautionary measure for Peacock:

So far this season, Owens has earned a 2-3 record in Oklahoma City over 7 games started. In 41.2 innings, Owens has a 6.05 ERA with the Redhawks. In has previous start versus Nasvhille, he gave up 8 runs in only three innings pitched. Rudy has given up earned 17 runs on 33 hits over his last four starts in AAA. The lefty takes the hill tonight opposite Felix Hernandez at 9:10 pm CT.
