Pitching Matchup:

RPH Jarred Cosart (1-3, 4.50 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) vs. RHP Chris Tillman (3-1, 3.80 ERA, 1.31 WHIP)

That this rate, it appears Jarred Cosart will need to repeat his performance in his first major league start if he hopes to pick up the win - 8 IP, O ER against Tampa Bay on July 12, 2013. Cosart has the stuff to win every game he starts, and that can't be said about most of the Astros staff. The question is whether he can keep that wild stuff under control. Since failing to record a second out in his start against the Athletics on April 2nd, Cosart has allowed four runs over 19.2 innings. Including, seven runs of scoreless baseball in his most recent start against the Tigers.

This will be the first time the O's face Cosart.

Chris Tillman has come back to earth after two earned runs over 23.1 innings in his first three starts of the season. He picked up a quality start in his more recent start against Tampa Bay. Jose Altuve was the only Astro with a hit in a previous career at-bats.

Keep this one short. Enjoy Mother's Day and the pink bats.
