This morning Baseball America released it's Midseason Prospect Update: Top 50 Prospects list. Five Astros made the list.
- Shortstop Carlos Correa #9
- Outfielder George Springer #20
- First basemen Jon Singleton #22
- Right-handed pitcher Mike Foltynewicz #31
- Right-handed pitcher Lance McCullers #46

Mark Appel didn't make the list because they didn't include players drafted last month. Still this makes the second list that the Astros have had five prospects in the top 50, which is a far cry from the days when the Astros usually only had one and that one was J.R. Towles. No honorable mentions were made but I have to believe players like Delino DeShields, Jarred Cosart, Domingo Santana, Preston Tucker, Rio Ruiz, Teoscar Hernandez and of course Mark Appel have a chance to crack Baseball America's Top 100 depending on how they finish out their minor league season.
