Preview
The Rangers once again proved a rivalry can't exist in a one-sided fight. Now, Texas trots out their top arm in Yu Darvish; who was one out away from a perfect game on April 2 in Houston. Darvish has owned the Astros in his short major league career, he has three wins in three starts. In those starts, he has a 1.90 ERA over 23 2/3 innings. The right-hander has been rolling along in the month of June with a record of 1-1 and 2.31 ERA in six starts. Matt Dominguez is the only Astro with any success against Darvish; 'Matty-D' has two home runs and three runs batted in this season.
The Astros send Dallas Keuchel to the mound. He is hoping to rebound after the disaster against Tampa Bay in his previous start. In that start, he gave up five runs over 4 2/3 innings on eight hits by the Rays. In one start against the Texas this season, Keuchel held the powerful Rangers offense to two runs over six innings. The left-hander has kept two main parts of the Rangers lineup in check over his career, Elvis Andrus and Adrian Beltre to a collective battering average of .181 (2-11) against Keuchel. Nelson Cruz on the other hand, has taken Keuchel deep once in six at-bats.
