Peacock Deals Again in 4-3 Win
Peacock didn't pick up the win...but in reality it's a terrible stat anyway. He pitched well enough to get his team in position to win but it took a bottom of the ninth run to pick up the win. He just has to be the logical choice to take Bud Norris' spot if he is in fact dealt. He has just consistently pitched well in the minors this season. Interestingly, Jimmy Paredes played short stop again. And it's not because Marwin Gonzalez was unavailable, because he played second. Oh...and George Springer is just awesome. The End

Stassi Not Enough in 4-3 Loss
The Hooks just couldn't muster up enough offense outside of Max Stassi and him being a triple shy of a cycle. He now has nine home runs in his last 12 games. As Kevin Goldstein described it on twitter, it's just getting silly at this point. He's found that power stroke.

Lancaster enjoys a day off
Colton Cain Solid in 4-1 Win
Cain is the standout as despite the offense scoring four runs on nine hits, nobody really stood out. Terrell Joyce reached base three times and he may be the offensive standout. Cain has been pretty much all over the place this year but I still hold out some hope.

ValleyCats Get Blanked, 2-0
Pitching wasn't bad. Hitting wasn't bad. But, the hitting didn't put it all together to score runs. They picked up nine but it just wasn't enough. But, with Chia-Jen Lo getting called up yesterday, you have to go back and look at Glenn Barker's impact on the Astros system. In reality, his short stint as the head guy for the Pacific Rim scouting, he signed just Lo and Chan Moon. Lo has struggled with injuries and Moon came in much more raw than most expected. He is much leaner than what he was hyped up as and as a result lacks the power at the plate to be a third baseman. I've been warned that he probably can't hold down short at the ML level. But, he's athletic, has great makeup, and absorbs coaching like a sponge. So, there's a chance he can still do something. Plus he is really good at Gangnam Style.

It Took 11 Innings, But Greeneville Wins 4-3
It wasn't a great game for the pitchers, but they all battled pretty well. The offense did work in spurts and did enough to get a few runs on the board. Troy Scribner made his Greeneville debut since dominating the GCL in terms of strikeouts. He was a JuCo draft pick this season. I always have a soft spot for JuCo guys for some reason.

GCL Pitching Dominates 6-1
Brian Holmes is still working his way back to pitching in Quad Cities, but his rehab start yesterday was a pretty good step in that direction. When you strikeout about half of the batters you face, you pitched pretty darn good.
