MLB Scores: Astros 6, Blue Jays 12

Several good Astros performances tonight overshadowed by the bad and the downright ugly.

The Good

Marc Krauss - 2-4, four runs batted in, home run

J.D. Martinez - 2-3, two runs scored

Brett Wallace - 2-4, one walk, two runs scored

Jose Altuve - 1-3, one walk, one run

Jason Castro - 1-3, one walk, one run batted in

Jose Cisnero - one inning pitched, one hit

The Bad

Jonathan Villar - 1-5, three strikeouts

Matt Dominguez - 0-3, strikeout

Justin Maxwell - 0-2, four left on base and a botched ball in right field

Jordan Lyles - five innings pitched, four earned runs, nine hits, three walks, one strikeout, two home runs

Wesley Wright - one third inning, one earned run, one walk

Hector Ambriz - two thirds inning, one earned run, one hit, one strikeout, one home run

The Ugly

Paul Clemens - one third inning pitched, six earned runs, four hits, one walk, one strikeout, two home runs

Apologizes if you were coming here for some in-depth analysis of the game tonight. Stop me if you've heard this before. The Astros score some runs and the starting pitcher pitches well enough to make the game interesting then the bullpen takes over and....Yup, they lose the ball game. At this point I think we need to create a template for recaps along the lines of: The Astros bullpen blows it and lose the game.

It would save our recap writers a lot of time and frustration.
