This is going to be an abbreviated recap for a couple reasons. One, I volunteered to go into work six hours earlier than I normally would. Two, the reason I chose to endure waking up at the butt-crack of dawn is, IT'S DRAFT DAY!!!
Months and hundreds of hours of preparation later, today's the day we finally find out who the Astros will take with the number one overall pick, bolstering an already-loaded farm system.
Since I have to be up in just a few hours, and just returned from an advanced screening of The Internship (a solid 55 on the scouting scale, by the way), instead of writing about the big storylines of the night, I'm just going to provide the stats. Not to mention, all three Astros affiliates lost on Wednesday and Byron Buxton recorded five hits. He's starting to make me a little sad we passed on him.
Anyway.
