Preview
Break up the Astros! Houston has there second three game winning streak of the season. The last one ended in Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Bud Norris aims to not repeat history.
Norris is having a fine month of May, four quality starts with a seven run disaster in Detroit mixed in. Norris' ERA on the road is 7.71, that may have more to do with the fact that three quarters of his innings are at home.In two starts against the Angels, Norris has allowed one run in 15 innings of work. Only Josh Hamilton (homerun) and Albert Pujols (double) have the Angels' only extra base hits off Norris this season.
Norris' counterpart for today's game is Jerome Williams. Williams joined the Angels rotation at the start of May, he has a streak of giving up 2 runs or less in four straight games. He has a nice mix of pitches, throwing a cutter to righties and a sinker to lefties. The only Astros with any experience against Williams is Carlos Pena, who is 0-4.
