It's been a rough series thus far - extra innings loss, blown save, and a fifteen run blow out. As if to rub salt into the wound, the Tigers left the best for last. Justin Verlander takes the mound opposite Philip Humber. This should be fun.
Both pitches need no introduction that this point. Philip Humber has one thing Verlander doesn't, a perfect game. Verlander has one thing Humber doesn't, an ERA under seven. Humber has an ERA of 15.55 over his last three starts, Verlander's ERA over his last three starts - 1.71. There isn't much more to stay, outside of I hope the Astros surprise everyone and to enjoy one the best pitchers of our generation.
Feliz Cinco de Mayo, Houston!
