The Quad Cities River Bandits played a game early this morning/afternoon and won a rather uneventful game 3-1. The biggest stat line on offense belongs to Ariel Ovando who put together a two-hit performance and Colton Cain was the man on the mound with his nine groundouts.
Oklahoma City RedHawks at Sacremento
This game doesn't get going until 9 PM CT, but Brett Oberholtzer is on the mound to face off against the Oakland A's AAA club who is sending out Sonny Gray. The RedHawks have had some travel issues today with their flights and the whole team may not be in attendance at first pitch but they've had enough arrive to field a team.
An off topic note, Sonny Gray graduated with my sister-in-law.
Corpus Christ Hooks vs. San Antonio Missions
The Hooks are already underway and currently are holding a small lead after the first inning. The team is dessimated with illness and are also struggling to field a team. George Springer is missing his second straight game to illness and Jiovanni Mier is not feeling well but is available for the game. Ruben Alaniz is on the mound to start and he struck out the side to start the game.
Lancaster JetHawks at Visalia
David Rollins is heading to the mound to right the ship after their win streak was ended after last night's loss. This game starts at 9 PM CT as well.
