I plan on doing more of these when the season starts but this is the first time I've gotten a chance to sit down and watch the game at MY computer so enjoy.

Rick Ankiel gives the Astros a lead with this homerun off Stephen Strasburg

Speaking of Strasburg this is how Trevor Crowe felt about facing him. I call it the Crowe face.

Lucas Harrell pitched four no-hit innings but left a little early after his head was almost taken off by a broken bat at the end of the fourth inning. There was no mention of the groin in this Jose de Jesus Ortiz Harrell wrap-up so we'll assume everything is okay, for now.

In the sixth inning the Nationals loaded the bases with Josh Fields on the mound. Fields got Chad Tracy to ground out to first basemen Jonathan Singleton. Singleton threw home for one out but failed to get the second out as the defense was slow to cover first. The next batter, Adam LaRoche, hit an infield fly that the Astros failed to convert an out on, leading to a tied game. Ian Desmond singled to left giving the Nationals a 2-1 lead. Here's the infield fly play.

On the bright side Carlos Correa came in to the game and showed off his arm at short.

Then in the eighth he tied the game with an RBI single.

Jonathan Singleton followed Correa with a loud out to center field that allowed the second base runner to move up to third.

After a Domingo Santana walk to load the bases, Rene Garcia singled to left to give the Astros a two-run lead.

Edgar Gonzalez pitched the final three innings of the game allowing three hits while striking out two. Due to the errors no pitcher was charged with any earned runs. Wesley Wright allowed a hit to the one batter he faced. Hector Ambriz followed Wright and finished the fifth unscathed. And Fields final line, thanks to the defense, was two runs on two hits and two walks.
