Vote subjectively, objectively or by using your trusty magic eight ball. Votes will last exactly 24 hours.
In this match-up:
5 - Lucas Harrell
Almost let go at the end of Spring Training last year, Lucas Harrell showed the Astros something towards the end of Spring Training that resulted in him getting an opportunity to start. Harrell rewarded them with a 2.8 WAR in 193.2 innings pitched. His FIP and xFIP numbers indicate that last year was no fluke and that he's in for just as good a season this year.
Vs
60 - Chris Devenski
Acquired in the Brett Myers trade as the player to be named later, Chris Devenski was considered by Jeff Luhnow to be a significant part of the trade. His 4.23 ERA in 61.2 innings with the White Sox low minor league club suggested otherwise that perception quickly changed as the Astros made Devenski a full-time starter and were rewarded with a 3.07 ERA in 29.1 innings that included a no-hitter in which Devenski struck out 16 batters. Devenski is one of the many reasons why "In Luhnow We Trust" has become a slogan of many Astros fans.
