Astros Minor League Recap: August 23, 2012

New, 30 comments

I've gotta make this quick, so my apologies.

Despite losing last night, Tri-City still won the Stedlar Division of the New-York Penn League yesterday! Apparently there was a re-calculation that factored in the tie-breaker with another team, and since they own that tie-breaker, they officially have won the division. So, congratulations to the TC ValleyCats! That is phenomenal team and they deserve every bit of recognition they receive.

Apparently Brad Mills has already gotten another job! He's bound to be managing the Greeneville Astros. Why you ask? Rio Ruiz, who hit his first major league home run on Monday, was sitting last night. Does that sound familiar? Unless he's hurt, which I don't think he is.
