In Sunday's live podcast, Tim and I talked a little about our trip to Greeneville. Unfortunately, we talked a ton about the coaching changes and to save time on the edited podcast, it got cut. The good news is that it gets its own little section in today's minor league recap. It fits perfectly since the Greeneville had a great game last night and the team is deserving of some more spotlight.

Ok, well they didn't have a great game, just some notable prospects had good games. Most notably Ariel Ovando. After this trip to Greeneville, there's been a lot of talk about Ovando possibly having issues with effort. We know Jeff Luhnow speaks Spanish and Ovando was pulled from the lineup just before the game on Friday when Luhnow was in attendance. You would think that he would want to see his biggest international prospect in action and would make sure he's in the lineup right? Well, if there's an issue with effort and your GM gives you a little pep talk in Spanish, that would make you play a bit better, I would think. It's all speculation, but it makes sense, especially given what Ovando did last night.

Ovando not only drew a walk and not strikeout, he drew TWO walks. We know Luhnow likes some walks. Not only did Ovando draw two walks, not strikeout but he hit TWO home runs! That, my friends, is how you respond to getting benched. Why couldn't he have done that when I was there? Oh, because I would have had a heart attack, that's why.

Also, I have to mention this. Delino DeShields Jr. is an MANimal. Congratulations to DDJ on your Astros minor league stolen base record! I'll let you read David's Three Astros Things from this morning for more information.
