It was an exciting weekend in the minors with so many many players making debuts at their new levels. Not only that, for the MiLB.tv subscribers, it was a chance to catch Lancaster live as they were finally on there. This was our first chance to see Andrew Aplin in live action and he has looked good. He seems to make good jumps on defense as well as make hard contact. You can see the level swing path that will limit his home run production but he should be able to hit plenty of doubles. DDJ has made some nice plays as well. He picked up his first steal already and made a nice diving play in the field as well.

The big stories have to do with Corpus. The first headline is that George Springer was nailed in the head with a pitch but seems to be OK and should return to the lineup today. The second is that they scored 12 runs in a single inning Sunday. All of which did not come on a single home run. Overall, they scored 20 runs. Jonathan Singleton did his part with a pair of home runs.
