What a performance by Mike Foltynewicz yesterday! Folty was dominant yesterday afternoon is a day game. He lasted seven innings which shows he was efficient. He only allowed three hits, including one in-field grounder to DDJ, the other two were a single and double linedrives. He walked two, which shows he rarely got into a hitters count. He struck out six, all on swinging third strikes which shows his stuff was nasty. He induced 13 grounders which shows he was able to induce weak contact for the most part. He picked off one baserunner at 1B. He also had to deal with two errors that put two more baserunners on. Very good game for the pitcher

It's no secret that Folty has to show signs of life revitalize his prospect status, and other than a poor first game, he has done that. The first one was on him as well as the defense as he was responsible for putting the baserunners on but errors allowed four runs to score. As I've said before, he's a cold weather guy and will take longer to develop, well his development seems to be taking off!
